Великобритания объявила о крупнейшем пакете санкций против России за последние три года.

В честь третьей годовщины полномасштабного вторжения России в Украину Великобритания объявила о введении самого обширного пакета санкций против РФ с 24 февраля 2022 года.

The UK government has announced this news.

Sanctions have been imposed on 107 companies and individuals.

The new sanctions aim to target resources flowing into the "military treasury" of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, as well as the Russian military apparatus, structures in third countries supporting it, and the fragile supply chains it relies upon.

Among those affected by British sanctions are manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, electronics, and dual-use goods for the Russian military, including microprocessors used in weapon systems. These entities are based in several third countries, including Central Asian nations, Turkey, Thailand, India, and China, which is the largest supplier of critical goods for the Russian military.

Sanctions have also been imposed against North Korean Defense Minister No Kwan Chol and other North Korean generals and officials involved in the deployment of over 11,000 North Korean troops in Russia.

The list includes 13 Russian companies and individuals, such as LLC "Grant-Trade," its owner Marat Mustafaev, and his sister Dinara Mustafaeva, who utilized the company to supply advanced European technologies to Russia in support of its unlawful war.

For the first time, London has placed restrictions on foreign financial institutions that support the Russian military apparatus, including the Kyrgyzstan-based OJSC "Keremet Bank," undermining the use of the Russian international financial system to back its military efforts.

Additionally, the list includes 40 vessels transporting Russian oil, bringing the total to 133.

Furthermore, the country has imposed sanctions on 14 "new kleptocrats," some of whom head strategic sectors of the Russian economy. Among them is Roman Trotsenko, one of the wealthiest individuals in Russia with a fortune of £2.2 billion.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated that this package represents the largest set of sanctions in three years, highlighting the UK's commitment to Ukraine.

"Every destroyed supply line, every blocked ruble, every exposed enabler of Putin's aggression is a step towards a just and lasting peace, as well as security and prosperity in the UK, which is part of this government's change agenda," the minister declared.
