Kyiv has the potential to lead in the development of the defense industry
The capital should leverage its strengths to enhance the defense-industrial complex. Kyiv is home to numerous manufacturers, intriguing initiatives, talented individuals, innovative ideas, technologies, and a vast resource base.
This was stated by the head of the KMVA Timur Tkachенко on his social media page.
According to him, the necessary conditions for this have not yet been established in the capital.
“Manufacturers are lacking facilities, logistics, and support… The capital needs a targeted program to support the defense industry: with land, industrial sites, and financial incentives. So that here, in Kyiv, we produce what saves lives. So that our struggle is the responsibility of all — not just the military, but every citizen,” wrote the head of the KMVA.
At the same time, Timur Tkachенко emphasized that “this can and should be changed at the city level.”
It is worth noting, the KMVA is convinced that the movement for civilian cars and wheeled passenger transport across the Southern Bridge in the capital could have been opened last year.
