A wide range of individuals are being investigated for their involvement in criminal activities
Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Petro Olenych, who is suspected of being part of a criminal organization involved in land transactions in Kyiv, has been suspended from his official duties by court order.
This information is reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
“The High Anti-Corruption Court supported the position of the SAP and NABU and decided to suspend the mentioned official from his position for a period of 2 months,” the statement reads.
As explained by the SAP, such procedural actions have been taken by the prosecution to prevent further unlawful behavior by the suspect.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceeding is ongoing, with a broad range of individuals being checked for their involvement in serious and particularly serious corruption crimes.
It is worth noting that at the end of the first decade of February, the High Anti-Corruption Court selected a preventive measure regarding Olenych in the form of detention until April 6, with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 15 million UAH.
