The man faces up to fifteen years in prison
Investigators have submitted an indictment to the court against a foreign national who robbed a grocery store on Andriyivskyy Descent.

This was reported by the communication department of the Kyiv police.
“Recall that at the end of last year, a 61-year-old local resident, who works as a cashier at the grocery store, reported a robbery to the capital's police. She stated that an unknown masked individual burst into the store and, brandishing a weapon, took money from the cash register,” the statement reads.
The perpetrator was apprehended in less than an hour. He turned out to be a 30-year-old foreigner who has been living in Kyiv since September 2024. The police seized a pistol, a crowbar, and eleven thousand hryvnias that he had taken from the store.

The man was informed of the suspicion under part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code – robbery.
“During the investigation, the offender was in custody. The article's sanctions provide for a penalty of imprisonment for up to fifteen years with confiscation of property,” police officials stated.
