Firefighters Rescued a Person
In the Desnyanskyi district of the capital, firefighters saved a woman who was unable to leave her apartment in time due to a fire that broke out in her kitchen while she was cooking.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.
The incident occurred yesterday evening: the operational coordination center of the capital's emergency management received a report about a fire at 3 Kashtanova Street in the Desnyanskyi district.
According to the rescue service, upon arrival at the scene, firefighters determined that food had been burning in the oven of an apartment on the first floor of a ten-story residential building, which led to the fire. Due to heavy smoke, the homeowner was unable to exit the premises on her own: she was found and brought to safety by the firefighters, who then handed her over to medical personnel, although she refused hospitalization.
At the scene, twelve rescuers were working, along with three units of main and specialized firefighting equipment.
Reminder: In the Obolon district, during the extinguishing of a fire in the basement of a two-story building, which was unoccupied, six homeless individuals were rescued.
