The military analyst shared his thoughts with the journalists of the YouTube project “Kashtan. Interview”
Throughout three years of war, the Russian tactics have essentially remained unchanged, but the situation on the front lines is evolving almost every hour — the occupiers are launching assaults in various sectors.
Military analyst Vasyl Pehnio discussed this with the journalists of the YouTube project “Kashtan. Interview”.
“The Russians attack exclusively with infantry and will continue to do so. Infantry is their main resource. If we speak in a more strategic context, they have two advantages: infantry and aviation… In reality, they are advancing very slowly. No position can hold indefinitely,” Pehnio stated.
At the same time, the analyst emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are constantly modernizing in search of ways to make Russian tactics ineffective.
“Our main advantage lies in intelligence and technology. When we talk about drone systems, Ukraine is significantly ahead of the Russians for now, thank God… Our defense sector is continuously seeking new methods, shall we say, of counteraction, and is improving its technologies,” the military analyst emphasized.
He also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine's drones and cutting-edge technologies allow for the effective destruction of enemy equipment from a distance. Without their equipment, the Russians will not be able to execute deep breaches in the front.
