Massive airstrike on Christmas: what we know about the consequences.

In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identified and tracked 184 enemy aerial targets.

According to preliminary data, as of 12:00, the downing of 113 aerial targets has been confirmed: 55 cruise missiles X-101, X-55SM, "Kalibr"; four guided aviation missiles X-59/X-69; 54 strike UAVs "Shahed"/mimicking drones of various types. Another 52 targets were locally lost.

The enemy attacked energy facilities in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zaporizhzhia. Unfortunately, there are casualties, reports the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction Olexiy Kuleba on Telegram.

According to him, the largest number of consumers left without heating is in Kharkiv region – 500,000 subscribers, which accounts for 2,677 houses.

In Dnipro and Zelenodolsk in Dnipropetrovsk region, 55 and 100 houses are without heating, respectively. In Ivano-Frankivsk region, 81 residential buildings are without heat.

In Dnipro, an employee of the thermal power plant was killed as a result of the shelling.

The Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported today on Telegram:

“The enemy launched 12 missiles at the city, all of which were targeted at our boiler houses, our combined heat and power plants, and energy facilities.”

“Ukrenergo” has implemented special electricity disconnection schedules in Kharkiv. A significant part of the city is without heating. There are four injured.

“However, we managed to ensure the normal operation of the city’s electric transport,” Terekhov wrote. “All our specialized utility services will work to maintain heat and restart the heating system. We will work around the clock to restore normal life in the city as quickly as possible. Currently, all Points of Invincibility in Kharkiv are open and equipped with everything necessary.”

It is worth noting that yesterday, December 24, the occupiers struck a building in Kryvyi Rih. One man was killed, and 17 others were injured. In the night of December 25, the search and rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih was completed after the missile strike on Christmas Eve. The total number of casualties is 17, including girls aged 14 and 16. A 43-year-old man was killed.

“Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for the attack. What could be more inhumane? More than 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and over a hundred strike drones. The targets are our energy sector. They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine… Energy workers are working to restore power supply as quickly as possible,” wrote The President of Ukraine on social media.
