In 2025, PJSC "Ukrnafta" plans to explore at least 800 square kilometers using 3D seismic technologies, compared to 600 square kilometers studied in 2024.

"In 2024, 'Ukrnafta' explored 600 square kilometers of technological area using 3D seismic technologies. In total, this includes eight fields and areas of the company," - the company stated in a press release on Wednesday.

The last time such operations were conducted by the enterprise was over 10 years ago.

"All the information obtained will serve as the foundation for building digital geological models of the fields, as well as the basis for forming solutions based on artificial intelligence. The constructed digital models of the fields will allow for a clear understanding of where the resource is located and more accurate planning of new exploration drilling," noted 'Ukrnafta' CEO Sergey Koretsky.

As the company added, the field phases of the 3D studies were conducted under challenging conditions: operations took place year-round, on highlands and in river valleys and marshy areas. In particular, a project was implemented in difficult mountainous conditions: for the first time in Ukraine using a wireless data registration system.

'Ukrnafta' is the largest oil production company in Ukraine and operates the national network of gas stations. In March 2024, the company took over the management of Glusco's assets and currently operates 544 gas stations - 461 owned and 83 under management.

The largest shareholder of 'Ukrnafta' is NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" with a stake of 50%+1 share. In November 2022, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to transfer the corporate rights of the company, previously owned by private owners, to the state, which is now managed by the Ministry of Defense.
