NEC "Ukrenergo" is planning to navigate the cold spell without imposing any electricity supply restrictions, noting that energy specialists are considering all potential scenarios.

"The anticipated drop in temperature will not lead to significant issues and does not necessitate the implementation of restrictions. The situation within Ukraine's energy system remains stable. Energy professionals are preparing for all scenarios, including a sudden drop in air temperature," - wrote the company on Facebook on Thursday.

They emphasized that the sole reason for the forced implementation of outages has always been and continues to be the destruction of energy infrastructure due to Russian missile and drone attacks.

"Ukrenergo" urged the public to trust only official sources of information and to heed the recommendations of energy professionals.

As reported, on Wednesday, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Natalia Ptuha, announced a forecasted decrease in temperature in the early days of February, with a return to a more winter-like weather pattern - frosts are expected to reach around -3.8°C in most parts of Ukraine. The average monthly temperature in February will range from -3°C to +2°C, which is 1.5°C to 2°C above the climatic norm.

A number of media outlets and Telegram channels have circulated information regarding the potential threat of forced electricity outages next week due to the cold.
