Since the launch of the winter "eSupport" program, over 6 million applications have been submitted, reported Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Currently, Ukrainians have submitted more than 6 million applications for receiving 1,000 UAH through the winter 'eSupport' program via 'Diiа'. And this number is continuously growing," - wrote Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
The Prime Minister reminded that since last week, assistance is also available to clients of "Ukrposhta," who can spend the funds on goods and services offered by the national postal operator.
"Starting today, partner banks are joining the program. This option is aimed at elderly people who do not use 'Diiа', as well as guardians of minors," - Shmyhal explained.
As reported, applications for the 1,000 UAH under the winter "eSupport" program can be submitted through 'Diiа' throughout the winter of 2024/2025, with funds to be spent during 2025. Specifically, the aid can be used for medicines, books, clothing, bus and train tickets, paying utility bills, or redirected to charitable accounts for the Security and Defense Forces or volunteer funds.
Shmyhal expects that around 9 million Ukrainians will benefit from this program.
Earlier, the Prime Minister stated that authorities will later conduct an audit of the assistance provided under the winter "eSupport" program. Those who applied from abroad will be required to return the funds.
