Ukraine is ready to collaborate with the EU on uranium, lithium, and titanium issues, according to Shmyhal.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal states that Ukraine is prepared to collaborate with the European Union on matters related to uranium, lithium carbonate, and titanium.
Шмыгаль заявил, что Украина открыта к сотрудничеству с ЕС в области урана, лития и титана.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal states that Ukraine is ready to collaborate with the European Union on issues related to uranium, lithium carbonate, and titanium.

"Ukraine possesses 22 out of 30 critical minerals for the EU. We hold the top position in Europe for uranium reserves. Not only can we meet our own energy needs, but we can also export uranium, especially given the growing demand for nuclear energy in the EU," - wrote Shmyhal in an article for Politico.

He also mentioned that Ukraine has the largest lithium reserves in Europe.

"In 2021, the world consumed 460,000 tons of lithium carbonate, and by 2030, demand is expected to rise to 6 million tons. We are prepared to establish joint ventures that will provide the EU with a strategic advantage," - he added.

Moreover, he emphasized that Ukraine is among the global leaders in titanium reserves.

"Only 10% of the explored reserves are being developed, which means we can completely substitute imports of Russian titanium for the European industry, including the defense sector," - the Prime Minister stressed.

Shmyhal believes that the restoration of Ukraine is not just about rebuilding what was destroyed, but also an opportunity for Europe to grow alongside Ukraine.

"The recovery of Ukraine will be a significant factor in consolidating Europe. We are talking about hundreds of billions of euros in investments that will create new production facilities and jobs both in Ukraine and in EU countries," - the Prime Minister asserts.
