Oschadbank has implemented energy-saving systems in over half of its branches.

Ощадбанк внедрил системы энергосбережения в свыше 50% своих филиалов.

The State Savings Bank has installed energy storage systems in 650 out of approximately 1200 of its branches to ensure its energy independence, reported Yuri Kation, the bank's deputy chairman responsible for corporate business.

"We have already installed energy storage units in 650 branches to ensure continuous operation during power outages. Where conditions permit, we are also considering the installation of solar panels," he said in a conversation with journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

According to him, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, approximately 150 more branches will have such systems.

"It's not just about saving energy, although that will happen as the bank aims to charge the storage units when the market price is lower when signing electricity supply contracts. The primary focus is on ensuring energy independence during power outages and the ability to provide services to clients regardless of the availability of electricity in the grid," Kation explained.
