"Нафтогаз" получит от правительства Норвегии и ПРООН 80 МВт электрогенерирующие установки для одной из регионов.

The "Naftogaz" group will receive electrical generating equipment with a capacity of 80 MW, which will be procured using grant funds from the Norwegian government, with organizational support from UNDP, the group reported on its website on Tuesday.

According to their statement, this will help provide additional electricity and heat generation for residents in one of the regions of Ukraine.

As noted by "Naftogaz," earlier on the official website of the Norwegian government, it was announced that an additional 1.5 billion kroner would be allocated for Ukraine's energy needs, equivalent to EUR 127 million. Part of this funding will specifically go towards the purchase of electrical generating equipment for the "Naftogaz" group, the company explained.

"We are grateful to our Norwegian partners for their assistance in strengthening Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which continues to suffer from enemy attacks. We appreciate Norway's consistent support since the onset of the full-scale war," said the CEO of the "Naftogaz" group, Alexey Chernyshov, whose words are included in the statement.

As reported in mid-September, "Naftogaz" reached an agreement with UNDP for the procurement of gas-piston installations as part of enhancing cooperation on energy security and preparing for the heating season of 2024/2025.
