The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has requested FAO's assistance in building vegetable storage facilities and providing farmers with mobile equipment support.

Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitaliy Koval, held a meeting with Mohammad Azuk, the Acting Head of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Office in Ukraine, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, met with the acting head of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Office in Ukraine, Mohammad Azukah, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

"We are very grateful to the FAO for supporting the Ukrainian agrarian sector. Regarding the priority tasks we would like to implement with your assistance, we seek FAO's help in developing a vegetable storage system in Ukraine and support for small and medium agricultural producers in providing them with mobile machinery for labor automation - loaders and small tractors," the ministry's press service quoted him in a press release.

Koval also emphasized the importance of further developing electronic services and providing technical support to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy through the FAO TCP Facility.

The parties agreed to develop a plan for priority projects that require support from the FAO.

As reported, the FAO, with funding from the governments of Germany and France, is implementing a number of programs to assist farmers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Odesa, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, including vouchers for purchasing grain seeds through the State Agrarian Register (DAR), grant support, and assistance with equipment for grain sleeves.
