Для восстановления Украины после войны потребуется около 1 млрд грн на огнезащитные материалы, сообщил директор компании Ковлар Груп.

For the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, approximately 100,000 tons of fireproof paints, plasters, and other materials will be needed, totaling around 1 billion UAH, reported Konstantin Kalafat, founder and director of "Kovlar Group," to the "Interfax-Ukraine" agency.

“As of today, fireproof materials worth about 1 billion UAH are required for the restoration of damaged facilities. Additionally, utilizing locally produced products will not only help develop Ukraine's construction sector and create new jobs but will also enable investors to save significantly, as Ukrainian products are considerably cheaper than their imported counterparts,” emphasized Kalafat.

According to a study by the Kyiv School of Economics and USAID, about 90% of the construction materials needed for Ukraine's reconstruction can be produced locally.

At the same time, the director of “Kovlar Group,” the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of fireproof materials producing Ammokote products, stated that the total capacity of domestic fireproof manufacturers significantly exceeds the anticipated demand during the reconstruction phase.

Founded in 2015, "Kovlar Group" is the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of fireproof materials, commanding approximately 60% of the fireproof materials market in Ukraine and offering over 20 product types under the Ammokote brand.

LLC “Kovlar Group” was established in 2015 with a charter capital of 1.2 million UAH. The ultimate beneficiaries are Konstantin Kalafat (40%), Andrey Ozeichuk (35%), and Lyubov Vakhtova (25%). According to OpenDataBot, in 2023, the company generated a revenue of 42 million 585 thousand UAH, which is more than four times higher than the results of 2022; the net profit for 2023 was 7.7 million UAH compared to a net loss of 1.6 million UAH in 2022.
