Over the past year, more than 29,000 families in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions, as well as in Kyiv, have installed "day-night" meters in their homes, representing a 58% increase compared to 2023.
"In a year, owners of these devices can save up to 5,000 UAH on electricity consumption. Saving has become even easier - distribution system operators (DSO) 'DTEK Networks' have launched online services for ordering meters on their website," the energy holding company announced in a press release on Thursday.
As explained by 'DTEK', the "day-night" meter records the amount of electricity consumed separately during the day and at night, making the use of electrical appliances from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM 50% cheaper due to the night tariff. To save consumers time on additional meter setup, DSO 'DTEK Networks' offers a comprehensive service that includes the removal of the old meter and installation of the new one, sealing, and parameterization.
"Our specialist will complete all this within 10 days from the date of payment, coordinating the working time with you in advance," the company noted.
In 2024, 'DTEK Networks' transitioned all stages of ordering the "day-night" meter service online.
"When purchasing a single-phase 'day-night' meter priced at 3,999 UAH and consuming over 200 kWh during the period from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, you save about 400 UAH per month," emphasized the energy holding company.
"DTEK Energo" ensures a closed cycle of electricity production from coal. As of January 2022, the company's installed capacity in thermal generation was 13.3 GW. A complete production cycle has been established in coal mining: extraction and enrichment of coal, machine engineering, and maintenance of mining equipment.
Currently, a significant portion of the thermal generation capacities of the 'DTEK' group has been destroyed as a result of Russian attacks.
