The woman stated that she works as a cashier in a grocery store. An unknown individual wearing a mask burst into the premises on Andriyivskyy Descent, threatening her with a gun and taking money from the cash register. Patrols, operatives from the Podil Police Department, and an investigative team promptly arrived at the scene and began searching for the suspect.
Acting on "hot leads," the attacker was located and apprehended near the crime scene on one of the streets in Podil. It took less than an hour, reports Kyiv Police.
The criminal turned out to be a 30-year-old foreigner who has been residing in a capital hotel since September of this year. During the search, investigators seized a gun, a crowbar used to break the cash register, and eleven thousand hryvnias in cash," said the head of the criminal police, Denys Silochi.
