The highest number of battles in a day occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. The military summarized the situation at the front over the past day. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Operational information as of 22:00 on January 18, 2025, regarding the Russian invasion. Overall, since the beginning of the day, there have been 176 combat clashes.

According to their data, Russian terrorists launched four missile strikes and 22 air strikes, employing six missiles and dropping 30 guided aerial bombs.

Additionally, the enemy utilized 817 kamikaze drones and carried out over 4,300 shellings on our military positions and populated areas.

Situation by directions

  • In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy stormed our positions five times near Vovchansk.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive actions near Petropavlivka, Lozova, and Pishchane. Six combat clashes have concluded, while one enemy attack is still ongoing. The aggressor attacked Hlushkivka with guided bombs.
  • In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders stormed the positions of Defense Forces near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Novoiehorivka, Novosadove, Novolyubivka, and Zarichne. Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks, and two combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy struck Shyikivka and Boryvska Andriivka with guided bombs.
  • In the Siversky direction, the enemy stormed our positions near Bilohorivka once, with no success.
  • In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked 10 times in the areas of Stupochky, Predtechyn, and Chasiv Yar; all attempts by the invaders to advance were halted by Ukrainian warriors. In Markove, the enemy dropped two guided bombs.
  • In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted 19 assault actions. The invaders stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Toretsk, Krymske, and Shcherbynivka, with three combat clashes still ongoing. The occupiers dropped guided bombs on Petrivka.
  • In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked 84 times in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Zelenne Pole, Malynivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlynne, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoandriivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelenne, Shevchenko, Uspenivka, Sloviansk, Andriivka, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarne. Fourteen combat clashes are still ongoing. According to the current data, enemy losses in this direction today amounted to 335 servicemen killed and wounded, three vehicles destroyed, an UAV antenna taken out, and two additional enemy vehicles significantly damaged.
  • In the Novopavlivsk direction, the invaders attacked 17 times near Velyka Novosilka. Fighting is ongoing. The enemy carried out airstrikes with guided bombs in the areas of the settlements of Odradne, Kostyantynivka, Novosilka, Rozliv, Vesele, and Temyrivka.
  • In the Huliaipilske direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
  • In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the settlement of Novodanylivka.
  • In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces halted one enemy assault.
  • In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks, and one combat clash is still ongoing. The enemy launched five airstrikes with guided bombs and carried out 409 artillery shellings, including 18 from multiple launch rocket systems.

At the same time, today the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine acknowledged the effective work of units that inflict significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment. Special thanks were expressed to:

  • 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade,
  • 124th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade,
  • 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush,
  • 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov",
  • 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade,
  • 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.

The headquarters emphasized that the military effectively destroys the enemy, inflicting substantial losses in personnel and equipment.
