This was reported by the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The military indicates that vehicles from both sides were destroyed when they attempted to get closer than one kilometer to the frontline. Consequently, Russian infantry tried to block Ukrainian strongholds — according to the soldiers, this gives Russia a significant advantage.
At the same time, Ukrainian defenders maintain parity in artillery and FPV drones with the Russians.
Regarding the threat of encirclement of Ukrainian units, the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade states that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have withdrawn from areas where such threats existed. However, fighting in Velyka Novosilka continues to this day. Meanwhile, the Russians are reportedly unable to continue their offensive from the settlement, as the Mokry Yaly River now obstructs their advance.
“Upon entering Velyka Novosilka, the enemy fell into a fire trap, where they will find no peace; any movement is suppressed by shells and drones,” the soldiers say, describing the Russian successes in the settlement as a “flag insertion.”
Spokesperson for the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia," Viktor Trehubov, mentioned during a telethon that the Russians planted their flag behind the "Kolos" stadium in the eastern part of the city.
