On the morning of January 18, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia, hitting the city center. As a result of the attack, 10 people were injured and 2 were killed.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, an administrative building of one of the industrial facilities in the city was partially destroyed. Residential buildings and private vehicles were also damaged.
Additionally, as a result of the shelling, the Andriivskyi Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate sustained damage.
