In the Volgograd region of Russia, drones targeted an oil refinery, resulting in a fire at the facility.

In the Volgograd region of Russia, there have been reports of a drone attack on a local oil refinery.

The governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov, reported on this matter.

He announced that air defense systems were active in the region during the night of January 31.

According to the official, debris from one of the drones fell on the territory of an oil refinery, causing a fire that has since been extinguished. A worker at the plant was injured and has been hospitalized.

In total, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 49 drones. Twenty-five drones were shot down over the Rostov region; another eight over Volgograd; six over Kursk; four over Yaroslavl; and two each over Belgorod, Voronezh, and Krasnodar regions.
