U.S. Senators advocate for Ukraine to be included in peace negotiations.

During their visit to Kyiv, a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate, including Democrats Jeanne Shaheen and Michael Bennet, as well as Republican Tom Tillis, made this statement, according to a correspondent from hromadske.

“Do you really think that when Ukrainians have made such sacrifices, they will be left out of the negotiating table?” Tillis stated. Bennet also believes that it is not possible to reach an agreement “behind Ukraine's back.”

At the same time, Shaheen emphasized the importance of continuing military assistance in the interests of both the U.S. and Ukraine.

Additionally, amid discussions on mineral agreements, the Republican mentioned that Ukraine possesses 23 out of 50 crucial minerals for the U.S. Some of these are located in occupied territories.

“This is important for future development, but these are long-term plans. You may benefit from this not now, but in the long run. It’s too early to discuss the details. Negotiations are ongoing,” he added.
