The previously mentioned timelines for the second Peace Summit were tentative. Ukraine has prepared everything necessary for the meeting, but work on it is still ongoing. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, Georgiy Tikhiy, during a press conference.
You can see for yourself that historical, tectonic processes are currently taking place, with a new administration coming in (in the USA — ed.) and in European countries. The peace formula remains the foundation for a just resolution to the war, and that is unchanging," Tikhiy said in response to a question about whether Kyiv would present a peace plan before the second Peace Summit.
The MFA spokesperson added that Ukraine has prepared everything for the second Peace Summit, including holding all thematic conferences that aligned common positions.
Ukraine is currently in a strong diplomatic position, as everything is ready, but of course, for the summit to take place and be productive, proper preparation is required. The timelines that were mentioned were approximate.
According to Tikhiy, Kyiv wishes to implement everything as quickly as possible, but it needs results, not "an event for the sake of an event."
However, everything remains on the table, and work continues.
Earlier, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, stated that Ukraine is ready to organize the second Peace Summit in the near future.
