Ukraine has received its first modern infantry fighting vehicle, the KF41 Lynx, from the German defense company Rheinmetall.

This was announced by Rheinmetall's CEO, Armin Papperger, who noted that the first vehicle was delivered to Ukraine in December 2024. The production took place at the company's factory in Unterlüß, Germany.

Currently, the equipment is undergoing testing, and serial production will soon commence.

The KF41 Lynx is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle developed by Rheinmetall. It can also serve as a command post, reconnaissance, and medical vehicle.

This heavy IFV weighs approximately 44 tons. It was first presented in 2018. Its main armament consists of a 30 or 35 mm automatic cannon mounted in the LANCE turret. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a machine gun and a launcher for anti-tank missiles, which can be modified according to customer requirements.

The KF41 Lynx offers protection against 30 mm projectiles at the front and 14.5 mm on the sides. The bottom is designed to withstand blasts equivalent to 10 kg of TNT.

The vehicle is powered by a robust Liebherr D9612 engine, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h, with a range of 500 km. The crew of the combat vehicle consists of three individuals, while the troop capacity is up to 9 soldiers.
