The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reacted to the shelling of Kryvyi Rih on January 17. He stated that the Russians struck the city with ballistic missiles. This was reported by Zelensky on Facebook.
The head of state emphasized that as a result of the attack, ordinary residential buildings, an educational institution, and other city infrastructure were damaged. Rescue workers and emergency services are currently working at the strike site. A rescue operation is ongoing.
Unfortunately, there are fatalities. As of now, four lives have been lost due to this strike. My condolences to the families and loved ones.
He added that each such terrorist attack serves as another reminder of whom Ukrainians are dealing with.
Russia will not stop on its own—it can only be halted through collective pressure. Pressure from everyone in the world who values life.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that an investigation has been initiated regarding the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. Law enforcement noted that as of 14:00, there are known to be four fatalities. Six more people were injured.
