The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved the supply of the domestically produced drone aviation complex "Shchedryk" to the Defense Forces units

According to the press service of the ministry, the drone aviation complex "Shchedryk" carries out tasks for monitoring enemy actions on the battlefield. It can operate both day and night. It consists of a control station and remotely piloted aircraft. The latter are equipped with silent electric motors and have increased resistance to the effects of electronic countermeasures.

The "Shchedryk" aircraft can perform tasks during strong winds, in frost, and in heat. The battery charge lasts for a long time of continuous operation.

“The capabilities of the aircraft and its optical equipment allow it to operate from hard-to-reach heights for most of the enemy's air defense firepower,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klymenkov.

Reminder: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that approves the procedure for purchasing unmanned systems and tactical level electronic warfare (EW) equipment of domestic production and their components.

The government's decision transitions the procurement of drones and EW equipment from an experimental mode to a permanent basis. This is expected to ensure a systematic and predictable process. Previously, the procurement of drones was conducted within the framework of an experimental project initiated in March 2023. To continue this, the government needed to make relevant decisions annually.

“This created uncertainty for manufacturers, complicating their plans. From now on, the government has ensured stability in the procurement of drones and EW systems, which will promote the development of the domestic industry and enhance the country's defense capabilities. Thanks to this, military personnel will be able to plan their needs more effectively, while manufacturers can focus on improving technologies and expanding production,” emphasized the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
