The Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, has tasked the creation of a working group titled "Transparency and Accountability."
Such groups have already been established to ensure the implementation of measures aimed at transparency and integrity within regional military administrations, and they have proven effective, Tkachенко noted on Facebook.
He reported that the main objectives of the group will include: oversight of budget expenditures, monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation, particularly the Law of Ukraine "On Preventing Corruption," as well as focusing on issues related to the prevention, detection, and regulation of conflicts of interest, among others.
Special attention will also be given to landowners and users of land plots in Kyiv. The "Transparency and Accountability" group will work on uncovering instances of non-declaration, taxation evasion, and proper documentation of land use. Additionally, they will monitor the targeted use of land plots.
The group will also include representatives from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security, the Prosecutor's Office, the National Police, and other law enforcement agencies.
As Timur Tkachенко emphasizes,
“In times of war, the effective and transparent use of resources is a crucial component of security and resilience.”
