This occurs in areas with the highest passenger traffic
In just four days, in coordination with the Ukrtransbezpeka service, 430 passenger carriers were inspected, reported the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко.
As a result of the inspections, officials compiled 95 reports totaling over 1,650,000 hryvnias. Among the violations were: the absence of permits for drivers transporting people without any safety guarantees; non-compliance with work and rest regulations, which endangers the lives and health of all road users.
As Timur Tkachенко noted on social media,
“Each of us has the right to safe travel and assurance that the transport meets all standards, operated by a qualified and responsible driver. We cannot allow people to suffer due to negligence or indifference.”
According to the head of the KMVA, special attention is being paid to the issue of free travel for defenders. Timur Tkachенко is concerned about reports of instances where soldiers are denied the right to free travel. Such incidents have been reported from various districts of the capital, and this is absolutely unacceptable, he emphasizes.
“The social protection of our soldiers is the foundation that we are obligated to guarantee. I want to emphasize: such cases are more regrettable exceptions than a systemic problem. However, every similar situation undermines trust in our joint efforts and should not go unnoticed,” asserts the head of the KMVA.
