The case was uncovered by the special services
The counterintelligence and investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have prevented a large-scale terrorist attack on one of the central crowded streets of Kyiv, which was devised and supported by Russian special services, involving Ukrainian traitors for execution.
This was reported by the press center of the SBU.
As noted by the special service, as a result of the operation in the capital, a Russian agent was detained, who was supposed to detonate explosives near the building of one of the structural divisions of the SBU.

It is important to mention that this location is currently not used by the special service staff — during the full-scale invasion, they were relocated to backup work points. However, the potential terrorist attack could have resulted in significant casualties among pedestrians in the city center.
Thanks to the measures taken, a bag was found with the detainee, which contained a homemade explosive device with a power equivalent to 7 kg of TNT.

According to explosive specialists, such a charge is sufficient to seriously damage a building and inflict fatal injuries on people around the explosion's epicenter.
It turned out that to prepare for the attack, the Russians remotely recruited a 22-year-old drug addict from Lviv, who was looking for "quick" money on Telegram channels.
Under the instructions of the occupiers, the girl arrived in Kyiv, where her Russian curator had previously rented an apartment for her in the city center.
After moving into the temporary accommodation, the agent received a mini surveillance camera through courier delivery and installed it on the balcony.
With remote access, the enemy was able to monitor the central street of Kyiv online and thus intended to document the aftermath of the terrorist attack.
The SBU officers acted preemptively and detained the perpetrator "in the act" as she retrieved the bag with explosives from a hiding place and was heading to the rented apartment.
During the search, a mobile phone was additionally seized from the detainee, which she used to communicate with the Russian special service.
Currently, the investigators of the Security Service have informed the suspect of her charges under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrator is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
Urgent comprehensive measures are underway to hold accountable all individuals involved in the planning and preparation of the terrorist attack.
Recall that in October last year, the SBU detained a 20-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia, who, under the direction of Russian special services, was to prepare homemade explosives and detonate them in one of the crowded places in the capital.
