The elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, has informed his advisors that he wishes to visit China after taking office. This could happen in the coming months. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal and Reuters.
According to one of the sources from WSJ, Trump expressed interest in making the trip to China within the first 100 days of his presidency.
The publication also added that Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed the possibility of a personal meeting through their representatives. One option being considered is to invite the Chinese leader to the United States.
