The young man faces a lengthy prison sentence
Capital police have apprehended a 19-year-old student from a Kyiv university who, while under the influence of alcohol, stabbed two men in the city center.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv.
According to law enforcement officials, the incident occurred in the Pechersk district, near the "Palace of Sports" metro station.
It has been established that a verbal conflict arose between two groups of young men, which escalated into a fight. During the scuffle, the perpetrator pulled out a folding knife from his bag and stabbed a 19-year-old in the stomach and his 24-year-old friend in the chest while the latter was trying to break up the fight.
For committing this crime, the student faces up to eight years of imprisonment.
It should be noted that in the Podil district of the capital, the police detained two friends who, while intoxicated, damaged seven cars.
