Over the past 24 hours, on February 28, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized an additional 1,050 occupiers. The total losses of the Russians during the Great War have reached 875,610 soldiers.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In a single day, Ukrainian troops neutralized 11 tanks, 15 armored fighting vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, one air defense system, 128 UAVs, and 107 units of vehicle equipment belonging to the occupiers.
In total, 91 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
The Russian forces launched one missile strike (using one missile) and conducted 100 airstrikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, including dropping 152 guided aerial bombs.
Additionally, the occupiers carried out over 5,600 shellings (including 121 from multiple launch rocket systems) and deployed 2,449 kamikaze drones.
The aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 11 areas of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, as well as three artillery systems and munitions of the enemy.
What is the situation in different directions?
- Kharkiv direction — one enemy attack occurred near the settlement of Volchansk.
- Kupyansk — two attacks by the occupiers took place during the day. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Zahryzove and Lozova.
- Lyman — the enemy attacked twice, attempting to advance near Ivanivka and Yampolivka.
- Seversk — the enemy made two assault attempts to displace our defenders from positions in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
- Kramatorsk — two assault actions by the invaders occurred near the settlement of Orekhovo-Vasylivka.
- Toretsk — Ukrainian troops repelled 16 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk, and Leonidivka.
- Pokrovsk — Ukrainian defenders halted 26 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Baranivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lisovka, Novoukrainka, Pyschane, Kotlyne, Nadeivka, and Andriivka.
- Novopavlivsk — the Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy offensive actions. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinopol and Skudne.
- Huliaipole — with the support of assault and bomber aviation, the enemy attempted three times to displace Ukrainian forces from their occupied positions in the areas of Pryvillya and Rovnopillia.
- Orekhiv — in the areas of Piatykhatky and Kamenske, the invaders conducted three attacks on our defenders' positions.
- Kursk — Ukrainian troops repelled 18 attacks from the enemy; the Russians carried out 527 artillery shellings, including 18 from multiple launch rocket systems, and conducted 25 airstrikes, dropping 31 guided aerial bombs.
- At the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russians are actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation against areas of Ukrainian settlements.
