Specifically, the government will provide Ukraine with the Robot 70 and Tridon Mk2 systems, which will assist in defending against mass attacks from Russian drones and missiles. Additionally, Sweden, in collaboration with international partners, will deliver anti-aircraft missile systems and portable air defense units.
“There is no more important task than the defense of Sweden. By supporting Ukraine, we strengthen our own security. Together with our neighbors, we are among the top ten largest donors to Ukraine in the world,” states a joint declaration from Swedish politicians.
This decision is part of a comprehensive military support plan for Ukraine for the years 2024-2026, with a total budget of 75 billion Swedish kronor (approximately 6.7 billion euros).
Recall that in January 2025, Sweden already provided Ukraine with a substantial military aid package, which included combat boats, ammunition, anti-tank missiles, and artillery systems.
