The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) has submitted an indictment to the court based on materials from the pre-trial investigation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) against the former director of a state enterprise for unlawfully appropriating agricultural products from the state enterprise "OХ 'Proskurovka' of the Mironivsky Institute of Wheat named after V.N. Remeslo of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
According to the SAP's statement, between July and August 2018, the director of the state enterprise and the director of a private enterprise illegally seized the property of the state company, specifically 5,000 tons of winter and spring wheat. To conceal the unlawful sale, the individuals entered into fictitious contracts, claiming that the 5,000 tons of grain had supposedly been transferred for storage to the private enterprise. Subsequently, this wheat was resold to other economic entities. Such actions resulted in a loss of nearly 23 million UAH to the state enterprise.
The actions of the former director of the state enterprise have been classified under Part 5 of Article 191 (embezzlement, misappropriation of property, or acquisition through abuse of official position - IФ-U), and Part 1 of Article 366 (official forgery - IФ-U) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Materials concerning the director of the private enterprise, who is currently wanted, have been separated into a separate proceeding, SAP summarized.
