There is an increasing indication of the enemy's plan to capture Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region without engaging in urban combat. This was reported by the Ukrainian military public Deep State.
The adversary will attempt to improve its position north and south of Novo Komar, aiming to cut off the road from Zeleny Pol and reach the ravine to the north.
In the past three days, the enemy has seized Neskuchne and is conducting mopping-up operations in Vremivka. The latter is effectively lost, and even if there is still our observation post in the village, it will no longer play a significant role.
As of midday on January 15, there was still information that the Defense Forces were resisting in Neskuchne, but by nightfall, the Russians were already in the center of Vremivka. How two villages became empty in just three days remains unclear.
Ukrainian military personnel with the callsign "Muchnoy" also reports the capture of Vremivka near Velyka Novosilka by Russians. According to him, this poses a threat of encirclement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in neighboring Velyka Novosilka.
Vremivka is now under enemy control, with Russians having raised their flag before the bridge over the Mokri Yaly River.
"Now the enemy only needs to make a leap across the river and simply squeeze our garrison in the settlement (Velyka Novosilka – ed.) from the north and south. If the Russians do not move along the shore from Vremivka to the north, then our Cossacks can cross the river and fields, but this corridor is under fire control," the military writes.
