Oil shipments through the Russian port of Ust-Luga have been halted following an attack by Ukrainian drones.

The flow of oil through the Russian port of Ust-Luga in the Baltic Sea appears to have halted following an attack by Ukrainian drones.
Поставки нефти через порт Усть-Луга в России приостановлены из-за атаки украинских дронов.

This is reported by Bloomberg.

The publication highlights that if the pipeline system's failure is confirmed, it will pose a new significant threat to oil supplies in the global market. Bloomberg sources claim that on January 29, the oil flow at Ust-Luga dropped to zero.

The agency notes that last year the port processed approximately 650,000 barrels of oil per day, accounting for about 20% of the total volume of Russian maritime flows. Bloomberg also points out that there is a possibility that there are barrels in Ust-Luga's storage that could be loaded to mitigate the impact of any supply reductions.

Recall that on January 4, drones from the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the largest maritime trading port in Russia, Ust-Luga, located in the Leningrad region. A source told hromadske that long-range drones from the Security Service traveled over 900 kilometers, reaching nearly St. Petersburg, and successfully hit their target.

At that time, one of the drones struck storage tanks containing gas condensate. As a result of the strike, one tank sustained severe damage, while three neighboring tanks were hit by debris from the explosion.
