Violations of the sanctions imposed against Russia should be regarded as complicity in war. Those who assist the Russians in destroying lives must be held accountable.
This statement was made by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of state noted that only on the night of February 1, the enemy launched 165 missiles and drones of various types in attacks on Ukraine. In particular, the Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions were under fire.
He stated that the enemy would not have been able to inflict such damage if the hostile weaponry did not contain components manufactured in other countries, including those used by "Shaheds" and missiles.
"One hundred sixty-five strike units in a single nighttime attack by Russia – all these 'Iskanders', 'Kalibrs', and other means of destruction — consist of hundreds and even thousands of components from other countries. European nations, China, and even America. Without such critical components, there would be no possibility for Russia to disrupt the lives of other nations," Zelensky said.
In this context, the president emphasized the critical importance of ensuring that sanctions against the Russian Federation are robust and impossible to circumvent under any circumstances.
"There must be no way to supply critical components for defense production to Russia. Violating sanctions should be interpreted as complicity in war, and anyone who aids in destroying lives must be held accountable," the head of state concluded.
