As of 22:00 on January 26, there have been 153 combat engagements on the front since the beginning of the day. Nearly half of these battles were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy attempted to conduct intensive attacks. This is evidenced by the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Today, the enemy launched 31 airstrikes, utilizing 41 guided aerial bombs (GAB), almost seven hundred kamikaze drone strikes, and conducted nearly 4000 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and populated areas using various types of weaponry.
- In the Kharkiv direction, there were four confrontations with Russian invaders near Vovchansk; three attacks were successfully repelled by Ukrainian soldiers, and one battle is ongoing.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to displace our units from their positions near Stepova Novoselivka, Kolysnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Zahryzove 11 times, all attacks were repelled. Enemy aviation struck Kupiansk, Kucheryvka, and Petropavlivka with guided aerial bombs.
- The enemy attacked 15 times in the Lyman direction, trying to advance in the areas of Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Nadiya, Zelenyi Hai, Makiyivka, Yampolivka, and Torske; one battle is still ongoing.
- Invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora in the Kramatorsk direction; one confrontation is still ongoing.
- The enemy attempted to penetrate our defenses eight times in the Toretsk direction. Occupiers acted in the area of Toretsk; all attacks were repelled. The towns of Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Kleban-Bik were hit by enemy GABs.
- The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. Throughout the day, the aggressor carried out 70 assault and offensive actions here. The highest activity of Russian occupiers is observed in the areas of Vodyane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zelenyi, Udaichne, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Shevchenka, Dachne, and Yantarny. Six confrontations are ongoing.
- In the Novopavlivsk direction, three confrontations continue. Today, the Russians attempted to advance 11 times in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Rozliv, Rozdolne, Novosilka, and Velyka Novosilka.
- In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attempt by the enemy to advance towards Novoandriivka.
- In the Dnipro direction, our soldiers repelled one attack by Russian invaders on the positions of the Ukrainian military. The enemy did not achieve success.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue operations in the Kursk region. Currently, there are reports of 21 airstrikes using 29 GABs and 395 artillery shellings; Ukrainian defenders repelled seven aggressive actions.
No significant changes in the situation occurred in other directions.
