The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft law concerning the payment for utility services by individuals entitled to benefits. Payments will be mandatory. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
It is proposed to amend the laws of Ukraine that provide for the granting of benefits to citizens for the payment of utility services.
In particular, it is suggested to stipulate that "beneficiary categories of citizens are required to allocate the funds received from benefits monthly to pay for consumed utility services."
At the same time, the conditions for granting benefits in cases where payment for consumed utility services is not made using the benefit funds will be determined in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
