This was confirmed by the commander of the mortar battery of the separate presidential brigade, Mikhail (call sign Mozok), on the air of "Suspilne."
"In fact, we have received multiple reports from intelligence — both ours and from allies — indicating that enemies have been spotted and eliminated after infiltrating our ranks, then disguising themselves as locals while waiting for the main forces to arrive," he explained.
Some of the occupiers are former prisoners. They are ordered to carry anti-tank mines and deploy them in the vicinity of Ukrainian defenders' firing positions when troops cannot be dislodged during regular combat, either through artillery or drones. According to the military, this tactic is quite common in the Toretsk direction.
The military also mentioned that small infantry groups of Russians are attempting to bypass positions under the cover of fog. They are also well-coordinated through Russian aerial reconnaissance.
