The National Bank (NBU) has started to introduce into circulation up to 50,000 commemorative coins with a denomination of 5 UAH made of nickel silver, beginning February 24, 2025, in honor of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as reported on the regulator's website.

The obverse of the commemorative coin "Holding the Line!" features an image of Ukrainian defenders, with schematic representations of defense lines and combat directions in the background, visually resembling a trident.

The reverse design of the coin continues the theme of the obverse - it also depicts warriors, and at the top, there is an inscription "Holding the Line" in a semi-circle. Additionally, the reverse features stylized images of military equipment.

The design was created by artist Andriy Sahach and sculptors Volodymyr Atamanchuk and Anatoliy Demyanenko.

The sale of the commemorative coin in the National Bank's online numismatic store and its distribution through partner banks (Ukrgasbank, PrivatBank, TASC bank, Oschadbank, and PUMB) will commence on February 25.
