46 out of 52 metro stations are used as shelters
During nighttime air alerts last year, nearly 450,000 people sought refuge in metro stations.
This was reported by the KP "Kyiv Metro".
Currently, 46 underground stations are being utilized as shelters around the clock.
In total, throughout 2024, passengers have used the capital's subway more than 241 million times, with 60 million of those trips being made under concessionary conditions.
Over the year, 275 meters of track were planned for replacement, and major repairs were carried out on seven escalators, including those at the "Maidan Nezalezhnosti", "Beresteiska", "Vokzalna", "Palats Sportu", and "Shuliavska" stations.
