The new head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, tasked the leaders of regional departments during their first meeting to fulfill budget revenue plans, as stated in a release on the agency's website.
"Regarding personnel issues and reappointments, Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized that the future position of each regional leader depends solely on their performance; there are no other criteria and there will not be. Achieving plans and filling the budget should be the primary goal, with monthly improvements in indicators," the release noted.
At the same time, Kravchenko identified transparency in operations and support for responsible businesses as key priorities, highlighting among the immediate tasks for the entire service the cessation of unjustified classifications of business entities as risky and the blocking of tax invoices.
"Concerning blocking – I understand the system is not perfect, so we will strive to change it to make it flawless," he stated.
The new head of the State Tax Service requested special attention to the commissions responsible for decisions on unblocking or removing entities from risk categories.
"Today, businesses are shouting that they are being asked for some 'kickbacks' or percentages for unblocking. You must work with me to bring order, to monitor the work of the commissions so that businesses understand – the tax service is working for businesses that honestly pay taxes," Kravchenko emphasized.
He also highlighted the importance of open dialogue with entrepreneurs, urging not only to explain the reasons for blockages but also to assist businesses in avoiding them.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2024, revenue collections from the State Tax Service exceeded 1 trillion UAH. In December, the State Tax Service exceeded the revenue plan by 0.2%, while in November it was by 2.4%, and in October by 0.7%.
