Bratislava may halt electricity supplies to Ukraine due to Kyiv's refusal to resume the transit of Russian gas through its territory. This was stated by Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico. He shared a related video on Facebook.

After January 1, we will assess the situation and potential reciprocal measures against Ukraine. If necessary, we will stop supplying electricity, which is critically needed by Ukraine during network outages.

"1. If anyone wants to organize peace talks in the Slovak Republic, we will be ready and welcoming.
2. By halting gas transit, President Zelensky will cause billions in losses to the EU, including the Slovak Republic, and further diminish the EU's competitiveness.

The big players in the EU seem to be okay with this. The main point is that in the name of an unrealistic goal of weakening Russia, the Slavs will continue to hate each other," wrote the Slovak Prime Minister.
