In December 2024, specialists from the distribution system operators (DSO) "DTEK Networks" managed to restore electricity to over 281 thousand homes of Ukrainians that were left without power due to shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.

"The enemy continued to intensify attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in December. Power lines and equipment were damaged due to missile or drone strikes. In regions close to combat zones, the energy system also suffered from enemy artillery shelling and airstrikes," - the press release from the energy holding reported on Monday.

Specifically, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is near the combat zone, energy workers managed to restore electricity to 175.8 thousand households of local residents.

"The Donetsk region remains the site of the most intense combat. In December, energy workers were able to restore electricity to the homes of 67.8 thousand families in this area," - noted "DTEK Networks".

Energy specialists continue to restore networks in the frontline region daily, as long as the security situation and military operations allow.

Meanwhile, the Odesa region also suffered from enemy attacks. Here, in December, energy workers restored electricity to 30.8 thousand homes that were left without power due to new enemy strikes. During the same period, 7 thousand families in the Kyiv region had their homes reconnected after shelling.

"In December, the enemy actively attacked the country's energy infrastructure. However, energy workers continue to provide electricity to residents through joint efforts. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have restored power to 16.4 million families in the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk regions, and in the capital," - stated Alina Bondarenko, CEO of "DTEK Networks".

As reported, in November, specialists of DSO "DTEK Networks" managed to restore electricity for nearly 1 million Ukrainian families whose homes were left without power due to shelling in the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kyiv regions amid intensified enemy attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.

"DTEK Networks" is developing its business in electricity distribution and the operation of power grids in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odesa regions. The company's DSO serves 5.5 million households and 158 thousand enterprises.
