Local residents informed the Telegram channel Mash that around 2:45 AM on February 19, they heard at least three explosions. Subsequently, a fire broke out in the area.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of three drones over the Bryansk region, one over the Republic of Tatarstan, and four over the Black Sea area. Another drone was suppressed over the Tula region.

As noted by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, the Syzran Oil Refinery has a processing capacity of 8.9 million tons of oil per year, making it one of the medium-sized refineries in Russia.

The products include fuel, aviation kerosene, and bitumen. It processes oil from Western Siberia and the Samara region.

Refineries of this level play a significant role in providing fuel for the Russian army and are part of the troops' logistics, says Kovalenko.
