Over 200 Russian drones targeted Ukraine, but most did not reach their intended destinations.

On the night of February 28, Russian forces launched 208 Shahed-type drones and imitation unmanned aerial vehicles at Ukraine. They managed to shoot down 107 of them.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Using aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups, these drones were intercepted in the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv.

Another 97 Russian imitation drones disappeared from radar without causing any harm.

The Air Forces stated that as a result of the night Russian attack, the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia were affected.

The evening before, Russian "Shaheds" launched a massive strike on energy facilities in Kharkiv Oblast. In the morning, local authorities noted that at least 20 drones were used in the attack, with 17 of them being shot down by Ukrainian air defense.

The targets included energy system facilities, residential areas, and a civilian enterprise. Two individuals—a woman and a man—were injured, and approximately 20 residential buildings were damaged.

In Mykolaiv Oblast, debris from a downed drone fell on the premises of a manufacturing enterprise, causing a fire, reported the head of the local administration, Vitaliy Kim. Warehouse facilities and a cargo van were damaged, while another vehicle was destroyed by the flames. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhia, a drone struck a high-rise building, igniting a fire. An 82-year-old woman was injured and taken to the hospital. Nearby houses were also damaged, reported the State Emergency Service.
