In Poltava, the search and rescue operations at the site of the missile strike on a five-story building have concluded. The number of fatalities has risen to 14 individuals, including 2 children. One person has died in the hospital. There are 20 injured, among them 4 children. A total of 22 people were rescued.
This was reported by the acting head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Volodymyr Kogut, during a national telethon "Unified News."
"At 16:30, the search and rescue operations were completed. Currently, there are 15 fatalities, including two children. A whole family perished. There are 20 injured, including four children. We managed to save 22 people.
Three individuals are in critical condition, including a young child. The others are stable, with no threat to their lives.
One entrance has been destroyed, and another 19 buildings have been damaged, affecting approximately 950 residents. There have been no requests for temporary accommodation; people have dispersed to stay with relatives," Volodymyr Kogut stated.
