President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws regarding the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine.
In total, Zelensky has introduced two draft laws:
- on the approval of the presidential decree "On the extension of the period of martial law in Ukraine";
- on the approval of the presidential decree "On the extension of the period of general mobilization."
According to the first document, it is proposed to extend martial law in the country for 90 days.
The second draft law, as outlined in the explanatory note, also foresees the continuation of general mobilization starting from February 8, 2025, for an additional 90 days.
