Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Munich Security Conference on February 14, stated that he would only meet with one Russian during peace negotiations—Vladimir Putin. However, he added that this would only occur "after we have a joint plan with Trump and Europe."

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Munich Security Conference on February 14, stated that in the context of peace negotiations, he would only meet with one Russian—Vladimir Putin. Zelensky does not intend to meet with the Russians in Munich. He added that it is important "not to lose unity between Europe and the USA" and that "making a deal without us and Europe is not a very good idea."

Zelensky also mentioned that he is ready to come to Washington "any day" to develop a joint plan with Donald Trump's team.

The President reiterated that he has planned visits to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. But there is a separate agenda there, as these countries helped with the return of children.

After the phone call between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on February 12, the Kremlin stated that Washington would be the "main interlocutor" for Russia in the negotiation process, but Moscow would also conduct negotiations with Kyiv.
