The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Munich Security Conference on February 14, stated that in the context of peace negotiations, he would only meet with one Russian—Vladimir Putin. However, he added that this would occur "only after we have a common plan with Trump and Europe."
I will not meet with the Russians. I don’t know if they will like it or not… I will only meet with Putin. Only after we prepare a joint plan with Trump. And for Putin to end the war. Only in that case will I meet. There will be no other platforms for compromises.
Zelensky does not intend to meet with the Russians in Munich. He added that it is important "not to lose unity between Europe and the USA" and that "making a deal without us and Europe is not a very good idea."
